This is Room 33A. A painting from Haiti by Paul Grady England.

Paul Grady England was born in Hugo, Oklahoma on January 12, 1918 and died in Rocky Point, NY on June 9, 1988. He graduated from Central High School, Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1936; earned a BA at Carnegie Institute of Technology, Pittsburgh, PA in 1940; M.A. at the University of Tulsa, Tulsa, Okla. in 1959. Additionally, he studied at the Art Students League, N.Y. between 1943-1946 and Zadkine Studio, Paris, France in 1948-49.
He was widely respected; his work can be found in collections and museums all over the world. he was a professor of Art at Hofstra University from 1959 to 1986.

Mr. Grady spent some time in Haiti in the 1940's and the Philbrook Museum in Tulsa credits him with having had a one man show at the Centre d'Art in Port-au-Prince in 1947. The painting below was apparently done in Haiti and was acquired from the collection of Jason Seley at Cornell University.
