Jean Joseph Lafontant was known as Prince Jean-Jo and was born in Jacmel in 1948. He was a self -taught artist who employed multiple media in his creations, many of which were three dimensional and included found objects, aka trash, and grafitti.
He lived and worked in Jacmel and died prematurely in 1996. His works are rare.
